Here is Paul’s message – please sponsor him!

‘Please donate a few quid to a very worthwhile charity I am supporting, Starfish, who help and support children and families affected by HIV & Aids

Since September last year I have lost nearly 3 stone in weight and run over 800 miles in training so far, including 2 marathons in the last 6 weeks, all in preparation for a massive physical challenge on 31st May running the Comrades Marathon, 56 hot hilly miles from Durban to Pietermaritzburg. To make the challenge harder the start is at sea level, and the finish 800metres above sea level so it’ll be a tough hilly run! The cut off time is 12 hours http://www.comrades.com/

I ran and finished the Comrades for the 1st time 30 years ago, and this will be my last attempt to push mind and body beyond logical limits (she who must be obeyed has spoken!) this is the 1st time I have run this event for charity and I am hoping to raise as much money as possible for Starfish who are a top charity

There is direct link to my sponsor page below, donations are in South African Rand. R200 is approx £11 to give you an idea of exchange rate. All donations, large or small will all be greatly appreciated by the the guys at Starfish and of course the kids and families they help

Please follow this link to donate https://secure.onreg.com/onreg2/personal/profile.php?eventid=2400&recordid=11520

If you would like to know more about Starfish the link is https://www.starfishcharity.org/get-involved-uk

There will be a ‘follow your runner’ link and I will email this to everybody kind enough to sponsor me nearer the time. This way if you have nothing better to do on Sunday May 31st you can log on and see if I make it!!’
